Bomb-Producing Laboratories Discovered in Krasnoarmysky District

In the Russian region of Krasnodar, two separate incidents involving unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) occurred on August 7, 2025, in the stanitsas of Novomyshastovskaya and Poltavskaya. Both fires were extinguished before the arrival of firefighters.

In the stanitsa of Novomyshastovskaya, a UAV fell into a field, causing a fire. Glass panes were blown out in one house, but no injuries were reported. Specialists from operational services are working at the scene to manage the incident.

In the stanitsa of Poltavskaya, a UAV debris landed on the territory of an elevator. This incident also resulted in a fire, but no injuries were reported either. The operational headquarters of Kuban is continuing to monitor the incidents in both stanitsas.

The cause of the UAV incidents remains unclear, but specialists from special services are working at both scenes to investigate. It is worth noting that recent reports suggest that Ukrainian drone strikes targeting Russian military and industrial infrastructure may be behind these incidents [1][2][3].

Specifically, Ukrainian drones have been reported to have struck a military unit and the Afipsky oil refinery within Krasnodar Krai. The attacks involved a large number of drones, including Shahed-type UAVs, as part of Ukraine's ongoing drone campaign against Russian rear positions.

The strikes caused fires at the military unit and the oil refinery, disrupted railway communication, and resulted in significant damage to Russian military equipment. According to Ukrainian military intelligence, two explosions near a military checkpoint killed at least 12 Russian soldiers and injured dozens more. The Russian military also reported drone attacks causing fires and damage, but casualty details primarily come from Ukrainian sources [1][2][3].

No confirmed civilian casualties in Krasnodar were reported in these specific incidents, though drone attacks elsewhere in Russia’s western regions have caused injuries. Russian air defenses reportedly shot down many attack drones over Krasnodar and surrounding areas during these attacks, but some strikes successfully hit their targets [4].

The incidents in the stanitsas of Novomyshastovskaya and Poltavskaya are ongoing and are being managed by operational and special services. The operational headquarters of Kuban is continuing to monitor the situations closely.
