Bollywood mourns Kamini Kaushal, the iconic actress of India’s golden cinema era

Veteran actress Kamini Kaushal bid her final farewell on Saturday, with a private ceremony attended by her closest family members. Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, who had worked with her, paid a heartfelt tribute.

Kaushal, a prominent figure in Indian cinema from the 1940s to the 1960s, shared the screen with legends like Ashok Kumar, Raj Kapoor, and Dilip Kumar. She was known for her warmth and professionalism, as remembered by Shahid Kapoor.

Kapoor, who recently lost his on-screen mother in Kaushal, expressed his privilege to have worked with her in 'Kabir Singh'. Meanwhile, he is currently in Delhi, shooting for 'Cocktail 2' alongside Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna. The actor has been enjoying his time in Delhi, citing its food and his birthplace connection.

Before her passing, Kaushal's final film 'O'Romeo' was announced. Although her co-stars are not explicitly mentioned, the main cast includes Shahid Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Tamannaah Bhatia, Nana Patekar, and Randeep Hooda. Kapoor and Dimri are expected to play prominent roles.
