In the harsh climate of Yakutia, preparations for the upcoming heating season are gathering pace, with a series of measures being implemented to ensure a timely and efficient response.

Last week, a meeting was chaired by Yakutia's Minister of Housing and Utilities and Energy, Vyacheslav Emelyanov, to discuss the progress of preparations for the heating season. The discussion focused on the new rules for the assessment of readiness for the heating season, which have been introduced this year.

The new rules include detailed requirements aimed at improving the quality of assessment for resource-supplying organizations. All resource-supplying organizations have been instructed to check the operability of backup power sources, ensure the availability of non-depletable fuel reserves, and clean the heating systems of residential buildings and social facilities.

The heads of the municipalities were tasked with eliminating shortcomings and fulfilling prescriptions within a specified timeframe. However, work in some districts, including Abyisky, Verkhnekolymsky, Oymyakonsky, Oleneksky, and Tomponsky, is behind schedule due to the ongoing recovery efforts from the summer flood. Recovery work in these affected areas is expected to be completed by August 20.

The new rules are designed to ensure timely detection and elimination of problems in resource-supplying organizations, and timely receipt of readiness certificates. Special control is being maintained over districts affected by the flood to ensure a smooth transition to the heating season.

Early startup of boilers will be organized for drying out flooded houses and social facilities. Municipal formations and resource-supplying organizations are actively preparing for the autumn-winter period, with the goal of ensuring the warmth, comfort, and safety of residents.

Despite the challenges posed by the summer flood, preparations for the heating season in Yakutia are progressing, with a strong focus on improving the quality of assessment and ensuring a timely and efficient response to any issues that may arise.
