Fruit caramels everyone knows - but hardly anyone names - Böhme Fruit Caramels: Nostalgic Treats Unchanged for 60 Years

Darren Ehlert, the current managing director of Delitzscher Schokoladenfabrik, oversees the production of Böhme Fruit Caramels, a beloved treat unchanged for 60 years. Despite being thrown during carnivals, the factory embraces this tradition. These square, colorful chewables come in cherry, raspberry, lemon, and orange flavours, with cherry and raspberry being the most popular.

Böhme Fruit Caramels, or 'Frukas', are made in the Saxon town of Delitzsch. They evoke nostalgic feelings, often reminding people of their first experiences or close family relationships. The factory also produces Royal Mints and chocolate cream tablets, but Bohme Fruit Caramels are their bestseller. Attempts to modernize the packaging were met with customer complaints, leading the factory to maintain the classic design. Despite stable demand, the factory doesn't mind the treats being thrown during carnivals.

Bohme Fruit Caramels, a constant in a changing world, continue to be produced in Delitzsch. Their nostalgic appeal keeps demand stable, and the factory embraces their unique carnival tradition. Darren Ehlert ensures these classic candies remain a beloved treat for generations to enjoy.
