The victim, a 40-year-old woman believed to be from Stuttgart, has been identified. Her last known sighting was on July 21 of this year in Stuttgart. The woman's body was found in a residential area under a bridge by employees of a maintenance yard.
The suspect in connection with the deaths of the Turkish woman and the woman found in Filderstadt is a 51-year-old man, currently in jail pending trial for suspected homicide. He was taken into custody after officers searched his apartment on Thursday. The suspect, of Turkish nationality, is exercising his right to remain silent.
