Bob Dylan is set to release a new box set, 'Bootleg Series Volume 18: Through The Open Window, 1956-1963', on October 31. This extensive collection offers a glimpse into Dylan's emergence and maturation as a songwriter and performer, featuring rare tracks and collaborations.

The box set includes over 120 previously unreleased recordings, including 'Let the Good Times Roll', 'I Got a New Girl', 'San Francisco Bay Blues', 'Jesus Christ', 'East Virginia Blues', 'K.C. Moan', 'Hard Travelin'', 'Pastures of Plenty', 'Remember Me', 'Death Don't Have No Mercy', 'Devilish Mary', and 'Introduction: Riverside Church'. Other tracks have never been presented in any form before.

A song titled 'Rocks and Gravel' has been shared as a preview for the project. The collection also includes classic songs like 'Blowin' In The Wind' and 'The Times They Are A-Changin''.

The box set is a 8CD/2CD/4LP collection via Columbia/Legacy Recordings. It features collaborations with Harry Belafonte, Big Joe Williams, Victoria Spivey, and Joan Baez. The collection includes live performances from Carnegie Chapter Hall (1961), The Gaslight Cafe (1961), Gerdes Folk City (1961), WBAI-FM (1962), The Midnight Special (1962), and Town Hall (1963). Many of the recordings featured in the box set are exceedingly rare.

The collection concludes with a previously unreleased full recording of Dylan's landmark concert at NYC's Carnegie Hall in October 1963. The liner notes for the album were written by historian and author Sean Wilentz.

Meanwhile, the artist recently performed his politically-charged track 'Masters Of War' for the first time in almost a decade. Bob Dylan is set to return to the UK and Ireland this November for his 'Rough And Rowdy Ways' tour.

The forthcoming project tells the story of Dylan's early years, offering a unique insight into his development as a musician. The box set is a must-have for any Dylan fan or music enthusiast.
