BMX Stunt Rider Injured in Kazan Circus 'Possessed' Show

BMX stunt rider Matvey Tsirenshchikov was injured during a performance at Kazan Circus. The incident occurred during the extreme show 'Possessed' when he attempted to clear an obstacle but landed poorly, striking his head on the arena floor and losing consciousness.

Tsirenshchikov, who was diagnosed with a concussion, was taken to a city hospital for treatment. Organizers rushed to his aid and carried him backstage where he regained consciousness. This incident comes on the heels of a similar accident at Moscow’s Bolshoi Circus, where a 19-year-old Ethiopian aerial gymnast suffered a severe fall during rehearsals and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Both incidents serve as stark reminders of the dangers faced by performers in extreme shows and circus acts. The safety of performers should always be a top priority.
