BMW Open in Munich with high-caliber field - BMW Open 2023 draws star-studded field with eight top-20 ATP players

The 2023 BMW Open in Munich has attracted one of its strongest lineups ever. Running from April 11 to 19, the tournament will feature eight players from the current ATP top 20. Tournament director Patrik Kühnen called this year's field the most elite in the event's history.

Among the top names competing are Alexander Zverev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and 2014 US Open champion Marin Čilić. Tsitsipas, a two-time Grand Slam finalist, adds further star power to the draw. American talents Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton will also take part, alongside Kazakhstan's Alexander Bublik.

The tournament blends established stars with rising talents. Young players like Jakub Menšík, Flavio Cobolli, and Luciano Darderi join the lineup, as does Argentina's Francisco Cerúndolo. Despite their rankings, none of the eight top-20 competitors have yet won an ATP title on clay.

Fans can expect high-level matches as the event brings together experienced champions and promising newcomers. The 2023 BMW Open will test players' clay-court skills, with no top-20 entrant holding a title on the surface. The competition runs for nine days at Munich's MTTC Iphitos club.
