BMW Crash on B30: Driver Walks Away Unharmed After High-Speed Aquaplaning
Last night, a 24-year-old driver lost control of their BMW on the B30 near Mettenberg, resulting in a significant accident. The incident occurred around 11:40 PM while the driver was traveling from Biberach towards Ulm.
The BMW, due to aquaplaning on the wet road, lost traction and collided with the median barrier. The impact caused the vehicle to veer towards the right-hand barrier, which it also struck before coming to a halt diagonally across the lane. Despite the severity of the crash, the driver miraculously escaped unharmed. The total damage from the accident was estimated to be 11,000 euros. The BMW was later removed from the scene by a tow truck as it was no longer roadworthy. Investigations revealed that the driver was traveling too fast for the road conditions, contributing to the loss of control.
