Blues call up forward Hugh McGing from AHL’s Thunderbirds for NHL boost
McGing was originally selected by the St. Louis Blues in the fifth round of the 2018 NHL Draft, 138th overall. Before that, he had been drafted by the Detroit Red Wings but never signed with them.
McGing’s return to the Blues provides another option for the roster. With experience in both the AHL and NHL, he could step into a supporting role if needed. The team has yet to confirm how long his stay with the main squad will last.
