May 6: Clear skies, no precipitation, and a warm south-east breeze. Overnight lows of +14°C to +16°C, with daytime highs of +27°C to +29°C - it's gonna be hot, hot, hot! Don't forget your sun hat and plenty of water.

May 7: Another scorcher - clear skies, no rain, and a south-west breeze. Overnight lows of +13°C to +15°C, with daytime highs of +29°C to +31°C. May's coming out swinging in Almaty - take advantage of this sunny weather!

May 8: Blazing heat on tap. Clear skies, no rain, and a south-west breeze will make for another sweltering day in Almaty. Overnight lows of +15°C to +17°C, with daytime highs of +31°C to +33°C. Be careful in the sun and stay hydrated.

Earlier forecasters reported that Kazakhstan might be in for a wet week, with rain, thunderstorms, and dust storms looming.

According to the latest forecast, regions in the west, northwest, and north of the country (West Kazakhstan, Atyrau, Aktobe, Mangistau) can expect heavy rain, thunderstorms, and hail from May 6-8. Starting May 8, showers and storms will move into the central, eastern, and southern regions. The West Kazakhstan and Atyrau regions may experience heavy rainfall on May 6-7, while Mangystau and Aktobe region could see it on May 7-8. The Karaganda region will remain dry, as per meteorologists. Dust storms are expected in the southwest and southeast of the country.
