The most serious incident occurred when authorities discovered an abandoned taxi on the Vicente Guerrero boulevard near Plaza Caracol and the Central Market. Inside the vehicle, authorities found the dismembered bodies of five men and one woman. A message related to organized crime was also found within the scene, though its contents have yet to be revealed.
The Public Ministry launched an investigation into the matter, resulting in a coordinated operation between federal, state, and municipal forces.
Two more bodies—two women and one man—were found inside a collective taxi on Avenida Lázaro Cárdenas. Like the victims in the taxi incident, they had all sustained gunshot wounds.
In another case, a man was killed inside a feeder taxi in the Libertadores neighborhood shortly after leaving the Las Cruces prison. This attack occurred around 9:00 PM, despite efforts by Red Cross paramedics. The victim did not show any signs of life when medical assistance arrived.
