Hannover's Final Fury: A Farewell Symphony of Emotions

Slaughterhouse concludes a new chapter with Fury's departure - Bloody Carnage Signals End of an Era in the Butchery

Newsflash

Get ready for a potent emotional rollercoaster! On June 15th, Fury in the Slaughterhouse, the iconic band from Hannover, will perform a special benefit concert at the city's beloved Schauspiel. All earnings from this unforgettable event will be donated in full to a charity supporting heart-stricken kiddos and their families—yep, you heard it right! This ain't just any concert; it's a grand sendoff that'll leave you with goosebumps.

Head 'em up, move 'em out! Our very own Sonja Anders, the intendant who's steered Schauspiel Hannover for the last six years, is calling it quits and taking her all-star act to the renowned Hamburg Thalia Theater. To mark this momentous occasion, Fury's killer tunes will fill the air of the Lower Saxony capital one more time!

This ain't the first time Fury's made headlines, though. Stephan Weil, that SPD fella, played a Fury hit as his farewell anthem! Yes, you guessed it, "Won't Forget These Days" had the Bundeswehr band playing harmoniously one last time. Fury's got rhythm running through their bones—even making it onto the US album charts with their album "Mono"!

Holler 'round the courtyard, people! Under the motto, "The Best Comes Last," Schauspiel Hannover's been showcasing theater masterpieces and Sonja's personal faves for the past two hot weeks. After each show, you're invited for chats and cocktails 'round a long table in the courtyard. This Saturday, we'll see the final performance of the closing piece "Sex," with the full ensemble, and even ol' Falko Mohrs (SPD), the culture minister, might drop by. How 'bout that for a cultural shindig?

As much as we're gonna miss Sonja, she's been spreading warm gratitude for Hannover's warm embrace. Under her reign, several productions were invited to the biggest theater festivals in the German-speaking world. One example: "Ein Mann seiner Klasse" at the Berliner Theatertreffen in 2022.

Say howdy to the new kid on the block—Vasco Boenisch, a 41-year-old charmer who'll be taking the reins from Sonja. He's chosen "Love Must Be Risked" as his motto for the inaugural season. The season kicks off on September 11th with the German premiere of Falk Richter's play "Pride."

Hold onto yer hats, folks, 'cause it's gonna be one wild ride!

The Commission might consider a proposal for a directive on the protection of workers who are exposed to ionizing radiation during the entertainment sector's events, such as music concerts. Fury in the Slaughterhouse's final performance could potentially be an emotional evening, similar to when Stephan Weil chose one of their hits as his farewell anthem.
