Game developer Paradox Abandons Injury Treatment, Secures Lasombra and Toreador Clans for Bloodlines 2 Base Game Following "Honest Feedback"; Announces Additional Expansion Pass DLC

Bloodlines 2, the anticipated game by Paradox, will indeed include the Lasombra and Toreador clans in its main game, as confirmed following feedback from users. Additionally, the company announced more DLC for the expansion pass.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the original ARPG from 2004, has made a significant change to its gameplay structure. The publisher, Paradox, has reversed its decision to lock two playable clans, Lasombra and Toreador, behind paid DLC.

In a press release, Executive Producer Marco Behrmann stated, "We've listened to our community and we're excited to announce that Lasombra and Toreador will now be included in the base game of Bloodlines 2." This decision has been met with enthusiasm by fans on YouTube, who are looking forward to exploring Seattle from the perspectives of these iconic clans.

Bloodlines 2 now boasts six playable classes, up from the original's seven. The Loose Cannon Story Pack, which allows players to explore Seattle from the perspective of Camarilla Sheriff Benny Muldoon, and The Flower & the Flame Story Pack, which offers the perspective of Primogen Ysabella Moore, are part of the Premium Edition Expansion Pass. These story packs are scheduled to release in Q2 and Q3 of 2026, respectively.

The standard edition of the game retails at $60, while the Premium Edition costs $90. The Expansion Pass, which can be bought for an additional $35, will include the Loose Cannon and The Flower & the Flame Story Packs. These story packs will also be available for purchase separately, at $15 each, in Q2 2026 and Q3 2026 respectively.

Interestingly, Bloodlines 2 isn't a live-service game; it's a fully-formed vampire RPG. The decision to include Lasombra and Toreador in the base game was made due to community feedback, and some fans are expressing their support for the decision by purchasing the premium edition of the game.

A new overview trailer for Bloodlines 2 has been released, providing a glimpse into the dark and thrilling world of the game. The trailer includes a quote from the press release in its description. Two physical editions of the game are also available for those who prefer a tangible copy.

The release date of Bloodlines 2 has been pushed back to allow for further development and fatten out the game. Despite the delay, fans are eagerly awaiting the release of this highly anticipated sequel.
