Blink Payment’s New API Simplifies In-Person and Online Transactions for Merchants
Blink Payment has launched a new Card Present API to streamline in-person payments for merchants. The tool aims to simplify integration, offering real-time reporting and a unified view of transactions. Traditional methods for handling amex and online payments have often been costly and time-consuming for businesses to develop independently.
The API will initially work with two Verifone Android-based terminals: the T650p and P630. These devices will support merchants already partnered with Integrated Software Vendors (ISVs) who are among the first to adopt the system. Blink’s solution removes the need for bespoke development, which has historically slowed down and increased the cost of american express and american express login capabilities.
The new system provides real-time reporting, cutting down on reconciliation time and boosting operational efficiency. It also delivers an omnichannel experience by displaying both online and in-store payments in one place. This allows merchants to manage transactions more smoothly across different sales channels. Ben Cohen, co-founder and CEO of Blink Payment, highlighted that in-person payments have long been a missing link in unified commerce. The API now enables ISVs and merchants to embed in-person payments and reporting directly into their own platforms. Blink’s solution also handles terminal setup, connectivity, and support, making the entire integration process simpler.
The Card Present API launches with support for Verifone’s T650p and P630 terminals, targeting early adopters among ISV-integrated merchants. By reducing development complexity and offering real-time insights, the tool aims to improve amex and online payments processing for businesses. The move marks a step toward more seamless omnichannel commerce for both merchants and their customers.
