Blackhawks Celebrate 100 Years With ‘The Madhouse’ Centennial Event

The Chicago Blackhawks will mark a century of hockey history with a special celebration on December 13. Named 'The Madhouse' Centennial, the event honours the legendary Chicago Stadium and its electric atmosphere. Fans can join the festivities when the team hosts the Detroit Red Wings that evening.

The night will feature an alumni panel, historic displays, and a pregame tribute. Limited tickets are still available for those hoping to attend.

The evening kicks off at 4:30 p.m. when the Atrium doors open. Inside, fans will find a recreated box office archway, rare photos, and memorabilia from Blackhawks greats. The first 8,000 attendees will also receive a Chris Chelios bobblehead as they enter the United Center.

At 5:45 p.m., a Q&A panel takes place in the Atrium, hosted by Darren Pang. Six former players—including Denis Savard, Jeremy Roenick, and Patrick Sharp—will share stories and memories from their careers. The Blackhawks urge supporters to arrive early, as seating for the discussion is first-come, first-served.

By 6:30 p.m., fans should be in their seats for a pregame ceremony. Pat Foley will lead the tribute, celebrating Chicago Stadium’s traditions and the legends who played there. The event, presented by Eventbrite, promises a night of nostalgia for hockey fans.

Tickets remain in short supply, with purchases available through Blackhawks.com/Tickets. Organisers expect high demand for this once-in-a-lifetime celebration of the franchise’s past.

The December 13 event brings together past and present Blackhawks stars for a night of reminiscing. Fans will leave with a Chelios bobblehead, memories of the alumni panel, and a tribute to the iconic Chicago Stadium. Those wishing to attend must act quickly, as only a few tickets are left.
