Two Accidents Within Minutes - Icy Roads Possibly to Blame - Black ice triggers two crashes on Vorpommern-Rügen’s B194 in freezing weather
Two separate accidents occurred in quick succession on the B194 in Vorpommern-Rügen. Both incidents appear linked to black ice on the roads. Drivers are being warned to take extra care in the freezing conditions.
The first crash involved a 52-year-old woman whose vehicle skidded off the road into a ditch. She suffered injuries as a result. Shortly afterwards, a 49-year-old driver also lost control and left the carriageway.
The incidents serve as a reminder of the risks posed by black ice during cold spells. Police have repeated calls for drivers to adapt their behaviour to the weather. Further updates on the condition of those involved have not yet been provided.
