Ice causes multiple nighttime accidents in Bavaria - Black ice triggers multiple overnight crashes across Bavaria
Black ice and snow led to several overnight accidents across Bavaria. While most regions stayed above freezing, parts of the state faced hazardous conditions early on Tuesday. A truck also became stranded on a slope near Bad Reichenhall in Upper Bavaria. The German Weather Service had warned of frost and black ice lingering into Tuesday morning. In Lower Bavaria, nine weather-related accidents were recorded. Fortunately, none of these incidents resulted in injuries. The overnight incidents highlight the risks of icy roads in parts of Bavaria. Authorities had issued warnings, but conditions still caused disruption. No serious harm was reported in any of the accidents.
