Black ice triggers chaos as Allgäu battles freezing weather risks

By Sunday evening, the German Weather Service (DWD) extended a severe ice warning for all districts and cities in the Allgäu, citing freezing rain as a major risk.
The severe weather warnings remain in place as freezing rain and fresh snow increase the risk of accidents. Ski resorts have begun operations, but drivers are urged to take extra caution. Authorities continue to monitor the situation as icy conditions persist.
