Black Bear has announced two upcoming films for 2026. The first is the Jason Statham-led action thriller 'Shelter', set for release on January 30. The second is 'Tuner', a drama starring Dustin Hoffman and Leo Woodall.

In 'Shelter', Jason Statham plays Mason, a solitary man who sparks a violent sequence of events after saving a drowning girl. The screenplay is by Ward Parry. The cast includes Bodhi Rae Breathnach, Naomi Ackie, and Bill Nighy. The producers are Jason Statham himself, along with Black Bear's John Friedberg and Brendon Boyea, Greg Silverman, and Jon Berg. Although the director is not explicitly stated, Jason Statham has collaborated with David Ayer on recent thrillers.

Black Bear has also acquired US distribution for 'Christy', starring Sydney Sweeney, to be released on November 7. Additionally, they have taken on 'Tuner', a drama directed by Daniel Roher, set to open in 2026.

Black Bear's 2026 slate includes a mix of action and drama. 'Shelter' promises intense action with Jason Statham in the lead, while 'Tuner' offers a dramatic narrative with Dustin Hoffman. 'Christy', starring Sydney Sweeney, also joins the lineup. Fans of these actors and genres have much to look forward to.
