BJP Student Wing Leader Allegedly Threatens Rahul Gandhi

A former leader of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), allegedly threatened to shoot Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Indian National Congress (INC), during a TV panel discussion. The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has condemned the threat and demanded immediate arrest of the individual involved, as well as a public apology from the BJP leadership.

The APCC has called for parliamentary and legal measures to ensure the safety and dignity of Rahul Gandhi. As of Stand Oktober 2025, there has been no public apology from the BJP leadership regarding the alleged death threat. The ABVP, while ideologically linked to the BJP, operates independently and such incidents are often viewed as attempts to discredit the party. The INC has urged the BJP to distance itself from such statements and issue an apology, but the BJP has not yet responded officially. If the threat was made, it is a criminal offense and the police should investigate.

The APCC has strongly condemned the alleged death threat to Rahul Gandhi and called for the immediate arrest of the former ABVP leader. They have also demanded a public apology from the BJP leadership, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. The incident has sparked a debate in the media and among political parties, with the INC pressing for a response from the BJP. The legal process will determine the outcome of the alleged threat.
