BJP MP Baijayant Panda in Bahrain: No Intimidation from Pakistan's Nuclear Threat, Will Respond Aggressively
India Threatens Strong Retaliation Against Future Provocations Following Operation Sindoor
Indian BJP MP Baijayant Panda, leading an all-party delegation to Bahrain, declared that India will not be intimidated by Pakistan's nuclear threats and will respond firmly to any future acts of provocation. This statement was made during a diplomatic outreach effort regarding Operation Sindoor, a series of 2025 missile strikes targeted at terrorist sites in Pakistani-administered Kashmir and Punjab.
Panda, speaking to prominent figures in Bahrain, articulated that India will no longer succumb to Pakistan's "nuclear blackmail." He stated, "Our intention is not hostility, but to exact a cost to deter them." He further extended his gratitude to the Bahrain government for its consistent support and condemnation of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives.
The all-party delegation comprises individuals from various political parties, including the BJP, NJP, AIMIM, and Congress, with Baijayant Panda leading the group. They will brief international partners on India's response to the Pahalgam terror attack and its broader fight against cross-border terrorism while engaging with leaders in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria. The purpose of this mission is to counter global misinformation and assert India's zero-tolerance policy on terrorism.
Responding to statements made by U.S. President Trump suggesting his involvement in the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, Panda reiterated India's stance, emphasizing that the cessation of hostilities resulted from direct communication between the two countries rather than third-party intervention. According to Panda, Pakistan initiated the contact for a ceasefire, and India promptly responded by ceasing its military action.
The Operation Sindoor operation involved strategic use of advanced military technology, including Rafale aircraft, AASM Hammer glide bombs, BrahMos cruise missiles, and Indo-Israeli SkyStriker loitering munitions, targeting terror-related sites across multiple cities in both Kashmir and Punjab. The aim of the operation was to neutralize threats and deter any further Pakistani aggression.
