Biysk hit by 50+ crashes as drivers ignore treacherous winter weather

A spate of traffic accidents in Biysk, Russia, has left several people injured. Poor driving choices and disregard for weather conditions contributed to over 50 incidents in a single day. Authorities advise drivers to maintain safe speeds and account for snowy roads.

Over 42 minor accidents were officially logged using European accident reports. A collision between a truck and a Lada 2104 near Smolensky Quarries left a child and a man injured. Road safety experts warn drivers to maintain speeds that allow for complete stopping and prevent collisions on weather-affected roads.

Some drivers chose to settle disputes on the spot or visit traffic police stations instead of filing formal reports. However, many drivers misjudged their speed and failed to consider weather conditions, leading to accidents. In one such incident, a female driver of a Toyota Mark II lost control on the road toward Barnaul, resulting in injuries.

More than 50 traffic accidents occurred in Biysk in a single day due to poor speed choices and ignoring weather conditions. Authorities advise drivers to prioritize safety and account for snowy roads to prevent further incidents.
