Bitshiabu, once more, participating in team training at RB Leipzig
In the build-up to RB Leipzig's away fixture against VfL Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga on Saturday, the team's training session provided some intriguing updates.
Goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi was spotted training individually, nursing a toe bruise, while midfielder Kevin Kampl partially participated in the session after overcoming an ankle issue. The most concerning absence, however, remains captain Willi Orban, who has been sidelined due to a knee ligament injury since October.
Regrettably, there is no specific injury update available for these players ahead of the March 2023 match. The available information pertains to injuries from dates much later or unrelated to this time frame. For instance, Timo Werner, who had an ankle injury in November 2022, has since recovered, as evidenced by his goal in April 2023.
On a positive note, French defender El Chadaille Bitshiabu, signed from Paris in the summer, completed his first team exercises during Wednesday's training session after recovering from a knee injury. Bitshiabu, who had not been able to make his debut in a competitive match for Leipzig prior to the session, could finally make his long-awaited debut in the upcoming game against VfL Wolfsburg.
Defender Castello Lukeba, on the other hand, was held back due to load management, while striker Timo Werner took a break due to adductor problems.
The first returnees from the international break were also present in the training session, and it's expected that they will be ready for the match against VfL Wolfsburg. The match, scheduled for 3:30 PM, will be broadcast on Sky.
Coach Marco Rose had a larger squad during Wednesday's training session, which bodes well for team selection and tactics ahead of the crucial encounter. Fans eagerly await the official lineup and the opportunity to witness Bitshiabu's competitive debut for RB Leipzig.
Despite the ongoing issues with goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi's toe bruise and the continued absence of captain Willi Orban due to a knee ligament injury, the team's training session hinted at the possible inclusion of midfielder Kevin Kampl. Additionally, French defender El Chadaille Bitshiabu, who has been recovering from a knee injury, participated in the session, potentially making his first appearance in a competitive football match for RB Leipzig against VfL Wolfsburg.
