Bayern's Final Squad Shaping Up for Club World Cup

Bishop supports Bayern for the World Cup

Munich, Germany - Bayern Munich is all set to bolster their squad for the upcoming Club World Cup, with the secure acquisition of midfielder Tom Bischof and defender Jonathan Tah from TSG Hoffenheim. The club made the official announcement yesterday evening, putting an end to week-long negotiations.

Sickering's Satisfied Smile

"We've sorted out a win-win situation with Bayern Munich that leaves everyone content," proclaimed Hoffenheim's Managing Director, Andreas Sickering. The same reckoning was reached with national defender Tah, who will hop aboard the Bayern train after the Nations League Final Four, bound for Florida.

Excited by the prospect, Tah elaborated on his ARD interview following the 0:2 third-place match loss against France, "I'm geared up. I'm thrilled about it. This is a fresh chapter for me, as I'll be joining a new crew."

Tah is making a free move from Bayer Leverkusen to Bayern, due to an extraordinary transfer window arranged by FIFA. Under this arrangement, Tah will be eligible to play in the Club World Cup from the get-go, unlike Bischof, who would've had to wait until at least July 1st, potentially missing the quarter-final if the fixture fell within that timeframe.

Leroy Sané's FC Bayern Future Unclear

The fate of national player Leroy Sané, whose contract expires at the end of June 2025, remains uncertain. According to transfer veteran Fabrizio Romano, Sané is slated to accompany Bayern to the Club World Cup. However, a decision regarding whether Sané will exit Bayern or accept their offer for a contract extension has yet to be made.

Rumors are circulating that Sané has already agreed verbally to join Galatasaray, with the Turkish side reportedly offering an annual net salary in the €10–12 million range. The deal is expected to be official shortly[1][2]. Although prior speculation pointed towards Arsenal as Sané's potential destination, it now seems clear that Istanbul will be his new home[2].

Bayern's Preparations in Full Swing

Bayern will depart Munich for Orlando this Tuesday afternoon, establishing their base camp in Florida. The defending champions are scheduled to face Auckland City in their opening Group Stage match on Sunday (6:00 PM CET), with Boca Juniors from Argentina and Benfica Lisbon rounding out their competition[3].

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund, as the second German club out of the total 32 participants, will jet off to the USA on Friday. Their first match is scheduled for June 17th.

"With Leroy Sané set to accompany Bayern Munich to the Club World Cup, the team's squad could potentially boost their chances in the tournament, especially considering the addition of footballer Jonathan Tah and the continued presence of Sané."

"In preparation for the Club World Cup, Bayern's roster now not only includes talented footballers such as Tom Bischof and Tah, but also players with a passion for sports, like Sané, who expresses enthusiasm for joining a new team."
