Binnington benched early as Blues lose 4-1 to Ducks after heated bench clash

St. Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington was pulled early in a 4-1 loss to the Anaheim Ducks after allowing two goals in just 10 minutes. The decision sparked a heated exchange between Binnington and coach Jim Montgomery on the bench.

The incident occurred during the first period when Binnington gave up two goals on five shots in 10:24 of play. He was replaced by Joel Hofer, marking the second time this season the veteran netminder had been pulled from a start.

The confrontation between Binnington and Montgomery has been resolved, with both sides downplaying the tension. The goaltender’s performance this season, however, continues to draw attention as he balances club duties with potential global aspirations. The Blues now sit at 9-11-7 in the standings.
