Bingen's Symphonic Wind Orchestra Celebrates LOTR and Star Wars in Gala Concert

The Bingen-Dromersheim Symphonic Wind Orchestra will present a gala concert on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 8:00 PM. Held at the Rheintal Congress Center in Bingen, the event will celebrate music from The Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. The concert's programme includes Johan de Meij's First Symphony, inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy. Narrator Jochen Denzer will accompany the performance with readings from the books. The orchestra, led by conductor Sebastian Lastein, will also play John Williams' famous Star Wars film scores.

Before the concert, the cosplay group *Cantina-Clan* will be on-site from 7:00 PM for photos and conversations. Advance tickets cost €15 and can be purchased online or by email, while entry at the door will be €17. Donations will also be collected for a project supported by the *Neujahrstauchen e.V.* association.

The event brings together live orchestral music, storytelling, and fan engagement. Tickets are available now, with proceeds partly supporting a local charitable initiative. The concert begins at 8:00 PM, with cosplay activities starting an hour earlier.
