Revamped and Spiced

Hop on your wheels and head to Bike Park Soszów, the fresh MTB spot that burst onto the scene in 2023. This action-packed haven boasts 7 trails, catering to every adrenaline junkie out there, from beginners to advanced riders. Don't let the absence of a bike lift deter you - the park cleverly utilizes cars with trailers to ferry bikes uphill, leaving you free to dominate those thrilling descents.

Now, buckle up and let's dive into the trails without holding back!

Kick things off on the easy-peasy side with the green line, affectionately named Funn. Don't be fooled - this smooth trail isn't your average walk in the park. It might seem harmless with its gentle berms, but it packs a punch with some substantial tabletops that'll leave your jaw dropped. Be prepared for some serious air time on a trail normally reserved for beginners!

Next up is the blue line, better known as B-Line. This flow trail is far from ordinary - it's loaded with tight and steep berms, sandwiched with tabletop jumps. The action never stops on this trail, but if you know your stuff, you can have a blast. Watch out for those tabletop jumps, though - if you catch enough speed to clear them, you might find yourself skidding on the berm that follows.

The red lines are where roots and jumps become the norm. Each trail has its unique character, but Purchawka took the bottom spot for this author. Karamba, on the other hand, was a favorite, with the Melancholijna trail also scoring points for its cool factor.

Due to unavoidable circumstances, the other two black trails remained unridden - but judging by YouTube footage, Pamela shares the same root-laden layout as the red ones, just dialled up a notch in terms of difficulty. The DH Cup trail contains several multi-meter gaps, making it a demanding challenge even for seasoned riders.

Variety is the spice of life, and Soszów delivers, offering a mix of enduro and flow trails. The green trail was a thrilling surprise, as it offered a challenge even for this veteran bike park visitor, while the blue trail demands its own opinion...maybe everyone should ride it and decide for themselves. The red trails, while not particularly captivating, certainly aren't dull, offering a solid ride for those seeking a more technical challenge.

The lift staff wins extra points for hanging and taking down bikes, and the low crowd levels, even on weekends with great weather, were a pleasant surprise. Overall, this hidden gem is worth checking out, especially if you're not a total beginner.
