BikePark Wales unveils the awaited extension of Boomslang trail, bringing a natural tech-filled journey to top half, yet the opening date remains uncertain due to recent storms. The trail provides a blend of challenging terrain, big features, technical drops, root gaps, and multiple options for riders. Originally planned to open last week, the launch was postponed due to anticipated storm Éowyn, and has been rescheduled for this Thursday, 30th. The lower Boomslang is a black level DH trail, offering doubles, off-camber loam, numerous drops, and high-speed sections. To reach the trail, traverse towards the start of Pandoras Rocks, Terry’s Belly, and Fifty Shades, with a new start hill for Boomslang aiding riders' speed at the trail entrance. The BikePark Wales team describes the new bottom half of Boomslang as a game-changer, catering to riders who thrive on complex, natural terrain. The trail's condition will be evaluated as severe weather warnings continue until Monday 27 January, with updates on the reopening of the park to follow at bikeparkwales.com.
