Bielefeld's promotion bid in the 2nd Bundesliga falls short after a 3-3 draw against Fürth, leaving them trailing at the summit.

In a thrilling encounter at the Schüco-Arena, SpVgg Greuther Fürth emerged victorious against Arminia Bielefeld with a scoreline of 1:3. The third and final goal for Greuther Fürth was scored by Felix Klaus in the fourth minute of stoppage time, securing a dramatic win.

The match began with Greuther Fürth taking the lead in the opening minutes. Noel Futkeu scored his fifth goal of the season, setting the tone for the rest of the game. Arminia Bielefeld fought back, and Marius Wöller, their new coach since Marius Wöller's transfer, scored his first goal for the club in the 50th minute, making it 1:1.

However, Greuther Fürth regained their lead in the 81st minute when Marco John scored a stunning goal that went into the far corner of the Bielefeld goal without touching any other player. Felix Klaus then sealed the victory in the fourth minute of stoppage time, marking his sixth goal of the season and the 3:1 final score.

The win extends Greuther Fürth's point-winning streak at home to eight games in eight years, a significant achievement for the club. On the other hand, the loss leaves Arminia Bielefeld without a win in their last two home games and without a win in their third home defeat in the current season.

This victory redeems Greuther Fürth's previous 0:3 home defeat against 1. FC Kaiserslautern, providing a much-needed boost for the team. Arminia Bielefeld, meanwhile, missed out on the top spot due to this loss.

Mitch Kniat, the current coach of Arminia Bielefeld, will be looking to guide his team to a better performance in their upcoming games. Greuther Fürth, on the other hand, will aim to continue their impressive form at home and climb up the league table.
