Bids are being accepted for bear hunting auctions.

In a significant move for wildlife conservation and hunting enthusiasts, the Belarusian Society of Hunters and Fishermen (BSHF) has announced the resumption of bear hunting after a multi-year hiatus, due to an increase in the bear population. This decision comes with the introduction of auctions for the right to hunt a bear, with different fee structures for citizens of Belarus and other foreign countries.

For Belarusian and EAEU citizens, the minimum permit fee is set at Br500, while foreign hunters will pay a considerably higher minimum fee of Br1000. It is important to note that these fees do not include the cost of the auction, which will be determined separately.

The starting price for the auction is Br2000, and bidding increments will increase in steps of 10%. The first auction is scheduled for August 1st, and the event will take place in Minsk, at 5 Logoisky Trakt. For those unable to attend in person, online video conferencing will be available through regional BSHF offices.

The hunt will take place in the Dokshitsy district, and only individuals with at least 3 years of hunting experience will be eligible to participate. Each hunter must pay at least Br5 for the permit, in addition to the minimum fee.

Up to 30% of the bear quota will be sold through hunting tours, both to foreign hunters and to citizens of the Republic of Belarus. The total number of permits to be sold is equal to the number of bears to be removed (20).

For the most accurate and updated information on the bear hunting auction starting price, bidding increments, and the total minimum permit fees for both Belarusian/EAEU citizens and foreign citizens, it is advised to consult official Belarusian hunting agencies or government websites that oversee hunting permits and auctions.

Sports enthusiasts interested in hunting may participate in the upcoming bear hunting auctions organized by the Belarusian Society of Hunters and Fishermen (BSHF). These auctions, set to commence on August 1st in Minsk, offer both foreign and Belarusian/EAEU citizens the opportunity to bid for the right to hunt a bear, with differences in minimum fees for each group. While the starting price for the auction is Br2000, bidding increments will follow a 10% increase structure.
