Biden's team allegedly prepares to expose information on Harris should she challenge him, according to Mark Halperin's claims
In an interesting turn of events, it appears that the relationship between President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris may be strained, as Biden's team is reportedly preparing to release unflattering stories about Harris if she attacks him in her upcoming book.
According to political analyst Mark Halperin, the Biden team has a series of stories that portray their extensive efforts to prepare Harris for the role of vice president and a potential presidential candidate. However, Halperin suggests that these stories may not paint Harris in a favourable light, highlighting instances where she struggled or was perceived as incompetent.
Halperin's comments allude to the Palin-esque stories that could potentially be released, a reference to John McCain's regret over picking former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate in 2008.
Harris is set to release her book "107 Days," documenting her short-lived presidential run. If her book or public statements criticise Biden, Halperin predicts that Biden's team will respond by revealing these negative accounts of Harris's tenure as vice president to counter any attacks.
The Biden administration reportedly invested significant resources in preparing Harris for the vice presidency, and they consider themselves wronged by any potential criticisms. Halperin stressed the closeness between the Biden and Harris couples at present but warned that if the Biden people feel threatened by Harris, the situation could escalate significantly with damaging disclosures that Harris would have difficulty defending against.
