Fessin' Up: Biden Admitted His Role in Trump's Triumph

Biden acknowledges cooperative role in Trump's triumphant election success

Joe Biden, former U.S. President, has confessed to taking the blame for Trump's election victory on ABC's "The View." He candidly admitted, "Alright, I'm responsible because I was in charge, and he won. So, I gotta own it."

Biden criticized Trump for obstructing his administration, particularly in aspects of immigration policy. Yet, he also admitted that he could have done better at promoting the accomplishments of his administration. "We weren't as impressive at self-aggrandizement as him," Biden stated. He explained that many policy efforts took time to demonstrate results and didn't receive immediate attention.

Behind the Curtains:In the 2020 elections, Biden experienced a victory in terms of popular votes but was defeated in the Electoral College by Donald Trump. Some speculate that Biden might have beaten Trump had he remained in the race instead of withdrawing, as he now acknowledges. His decision to step down stirred debates, with concerns raised about his physical and mental fitness to serve another term.

Biden rejected accusations of cognitive decline, emphasizing that reports of a deterioration in his condition in his final year in office were false and unfounded. Although his performance during the TV debate with Trump raised internal party criticism, he maintained that he left the race not for health reasons but to prevent division within the Democratic Party.

Jill Biden also shared her thoughts during the interview. She flatly denied accusations that she kept Joe in the race too long or shielded him from reality. "I was with Joe day and night, waking him up in the morning and sleeping with him at night," she said. Disappointingly, the public portrayal of her role during the final phase of his term had left her deeply wounded.
