Bicyclist sustains severe injuries following accident near Rastatt
In Rastatt on Thursday evening, a 41-year-old cyclist sustained serious injuries in a collision with another cyclist on the L77 bike path, between Rastatt and Plittersdorf. The at-fault party, described as a male cyclist, fled the scene without checking on the victim.
As per the victim's account, the man was riding without lights around 10:20 PM and approached her head-on, making evasion impossible due to the dark conditions. The injured woman was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.
