Bicycle demonstration scheduled for Sunday afternoon announced
On September 21, the "Kidical Mass" action alliance is set to organise a bicycle demonstration in the Cologne city area. The event, scheduled to start at 3 PM and expected to end around 4:15 PM, is anticipated to impact other traffic in the city.
Thirteen processional routes have been registered with the Cologne police, with the main group merging from these routes. The routes start from various neighborhoods on both sides of the Rhine and merge into each other, passing through numerous neighborhoods, using main axes, and crossing Rhine bridges.
The speaker of the "Kidical Mass" action alliance in Cologne is Simone Kraus. The demonstration is expected to last approximately 45 minutes and may have up to 2,500 participants.
The Cologne police are urging those not involved in the demonstration to take this into account in their plans. The demonstration will pass through Rudolfplatz, the city center, and conclude at Stadtgarten, Spichernstraße.
The bicycle demonstration will use main axes and Rhine bridges during its course. The Cologne police have registered these routes with the police department, and the demonstration has been registered with them as well.
It is advised that those not participating in the demonstration plan their travel accordingly to avoid any potential delays or disruptions caused by the event. The Cologne police remind everyone to respect each other and maintain a peaceful atmosphere during the demonstration.
