Bergischer HC (BHC) is set to kick off a series of upcoming games in August, starting with TuS Ferndorf, HSG Wetzlar, and TSG A-H Bielefeld.

The first competitive game for BHC will be against TSG A-H Bielefeld on August 16th, at 18:00, in the Sporthalle Nocken in Wuppertal-Vohwinkel. Coach Markus Pütz emphasised the importance of this test against a team from a different league, as it offers valuable learning opportunities.

The coach was partly satisfied with the team's performance in their recent friendly match against VfL Gummersbach, but highlighted that there are still many tasks ahead. Sören Steinhaus, in his debut for the BHC, was the team's top scorer with five goals. However, the team faced difficulties in the initial 15 minutes of the first half against VfL's 5:1 defensive variation.

Despite creating good chances, the BHC missed opportunities, which played into Gummersbach's hands. The final result was a close 29-24 victory for the BHC. Coach Pütz was disappointed about the missed chances but acknowledged that the result was deserved.

Looking ahead, the BHC will be playing as clear favourites against TSG A-H Bielefeld. Lars Kooij and Nico Schöttle also had successful outings in their new team. The BHC will face HSG Wetzlar on August 13th at 18:00, and TuS Ferndorf on August 9th at 16:30, both in the Sporthalle Nocken in Wuppertal-Vohwinkel.

The BHC roster includes players such as Rudeck, Diedrich, Steinhaus (5 goals), Beyer (4/2 goals), Morante Maldonado (3 goals), Fuchs (3 goals), Scholtes (2 goals), Kooij (2 goals), Seesing (2 goals), Wasielewski (2 goals), Fraatz (2 goals), Massoud (1 goal), Schöttle (1 goal), Babak, and Babarskas.
