Bharat Forge Delivers Rolls-Royce's First Zero-Defect Fan Blade

Bharat Forge Ltd, a leading Indian engineering company, has played a pivotal role in Rolls-Royce's recent milestone. The company helped deliver the aerospace giant's first zero-defect fan blade in 2024. Meanwhile, Bharat Forge's shares ended the day 1.98% lower at Rs 1,240.20 on the National Stock Exchange.

Bharat Forge's journey with Rolls-Royce began in 2020 when it started supplying parts for the Pearl 700 engines. The collaboration has since grown, with Bharat Forge becoming the first and only Indian company capable of producing advanced, precision aerospace components for the Pearl engine family. Recently, the companies extended their partnership to manufacture and supply fan blades for the Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 and Pearl 10X engines.

The extended partnership has been welcomed by both sides. Amit Kalyani, Vice Chairman and Joint Managing Director of Bharat Forge, stated that it reflects both companies' commitment to engineering excellence and signifies a long-term partnership. Rolls-Royce, on the other hand, aims to double its supply chain sourcing from India by 2030, supported by this expanded partnership.

Bharat Forge Ltd signed a deal with Rolls-Royce on October 18, 2025, to manufacture fan blades for the Rolls-Royce Pearl Engine series. This deal is linked to India's Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative and involves collaborations with Morocco. While the deal does not specify a new company location, it underscores India's growing role in the global aerospace industry. Despite the recent dip in shares, Bharat Forge's role in Rolls-Royce's success story is a testament to its capabilities and potential.
