Beyoncé's unreleased tracks pilfered in a burglary.
Beyoncé's current tour for her Grammy-winning album "Renaissance" has taken a surprising turn, as the singer experienced a setback in Atlanta, Georgia. On July 8th, a car break-in at a rented 2024 Jeep Wagoneer belonging to Beyoncé's choreographer, Christopher Grant, resulted in the theft of two suitcases containing unreleased music, footage, tour plans, and set lists.
The stolen items also included laptops and USB drives, as well as setlists for future concerts. The Atlanta shows, which were part of the "Renaissance" album tour, were scheduled for four consecutive days, but the incident occurred two days before the first planned performance.
Despite the setback, the tour is set to continue with performances in cities like London and Paris. Beyoncé still has two more shows scheduled in Las Vegas later this month.
Authorities have been diligent in their investigation, identifying a 2025 Hyundai Elantra as a "possible suspect vehicle" related to the crime. However, the owner of that vehicle has no information about the suspect and is cooperating with investigators. Police have dusted fingerprints and reviewed camera footage, but they have not released further details about the suspect at this time.
An arrest warrant was issued for a male suspect on Monday, but as of the latest reports on July 15-16, 2025, the suspect remains outstanding and has not been publicly named or apprehended. Investigators were able to track stolen headphones, but their recovery has not been disclosed.
The Atlanta Police Department is urging anyone with information regarding the suspect or the stolen items to come forward. The theft of unreleased music and tour plans is a significant loss for any artist, and Beyoncé's team is hopeful that the culprit will be apprehended soon.
