Betty Harford, ‘Dynasty’ matriarch and TV legend, dies at 98

Veteran television actress Betty Harford has passed away at the age of 98. Known for her memorable roles in popular series, Harford left a lasting impact on the small screen.

Harford's most iconic role was that of Hilda Gunnerson in the primetime soap opera 'Dynasty', which aired from 1981 to 1989. The show, also known as 'Denver Clan' in some regions, followed the rivalries between two wealthy oil families in Denver, Colorado. Harford's portrayal of Hilda, the matriarch of one of the families, was a fan favorite.

Before her time on 'Dynasty', Harford appeared in 'The Paper Chase' from 1978 to 1983. In this legal drama, she played Mrs. Nottingham, a dedicated legal secretary. Both roles showcased Harford's versatility and talent.
