Bet on the Seahawks to Win against the Chiefs in their match on Friday Night

The preseason Week 2 matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Seattle Seahawks is set to take place at Lumen Field on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 10 PM EST. However, fans might not get to see the starters for both teams in action for extended periods.

According to previews and typical preseason usage, the starters for both the Chiefs and Seahawks are expected to play limited snaps or mostly sit out in this game.

For the Seahawks, starting quarterback Sam Darnold is expected to see his first action as a member of the team in this game. Darnold played only one series in Week 1, with backup Drew Lock taking over. This suggests the starters had a very limited role.

Similarly, for the Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes and other starters like Travis Kelce and Kenneth Walker may not play or will have limited roles in this game. The Chiefs lost their preseason opener against the Arizona Cardinals 20-17, and while the starters had limited playing time in Week 1, the team struggled offensively, totaling 249 yards, throwing two interceptions, and committing 11 penalties for 113 yards.

Despite the limited involvement of the starters, the game has a total points set at 39.5, with an under bet having -110 odds. The Seahawks are well positioned to take an early lead in the matchup due to their offensive efficiency and rushing attack, which totalled 170 yards in Week 1.

The Chiefs, on the other hand, ended their Week 1 matchup with a loss, and while they managed to create three turnovers, they allowed over 350 yards. The Seahawks, however, struggled defensively in Week 1, allowing 392 yards to the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Seahawks have -170 odds to win the matchup, while the Chiefs have 2.5 (+105) point spread in their favour. It remains to be seen how the backups and younger players will perform in this matchup, providing an opportunity to evaluate their potential for the upcoming season.
