Berta Reopens in Berlin with Bold Israeli-German Fusion and Berlinale Buzz

Berta, the acclaimed restaurant blending Israeli and German flavours, has reopened its doors in Berlin. The relaunch aligns with the Berlinale film festival, turning the venue into a cultural hotspot for food and entertainment lovers alike. The restaurant is part of the JLM Group, founded by chef Assaf Granit, Uri Navon, and Tomer Lanzman. This group now operates over 20 restaurants across five countries, though the exact number of its German locations remains unclear. At Berta, Granit leads the culinary direction alongside the JLM Quartet—comprising Granit, Lanzman, Dan Yosha, and Navon.

The new menu features standout dishes like Polenta Machneyuda and Schnitzel and Gretel, merging Middle Eastern spices with German tradition. Beyond food, the bar serves signature cocktails such as Shabour and Machne, designed to complement the vibrant atmosphere. Several nights a week, DJs take over, ensuring the space buzzes with energy long after the plates are cleared. Berta positions itself as more than just a dining spot. It's a place where gastronomy, music, and lively conversation come together, creating an experience that goes beyond the meal itself.

The reopening of Berta marks a fresh chapter for Berlin's dining scene. With its fusion menu, creative cocktails, and nightly entertainment, the restaurant is set to attract both locals and visitors during the Berlinale festival. The JLM Group's latest venture reinforces its reputation for blending bold flavours with unforgettable atmospheres.
