Berry Bros. & Rudd Unveils 'The Duel', a Rare £20k Whisky Collection
Berry Bros. & Rudd, Britain's oldest wine and spirits merchant, has unveiled 'The Duel', a rare and poetic double release of single malts. This collection captures the spirit of the fabled last duel of London, said to have taken place in Pickering Place. Only 50 sets are available, priced at £20,000 each.
The release, 'The Duel', consists of two distinct single malts: 'Justice' and 'Honour'. 'Justice' is a 54-year-old Speyside single malt, representing truth and precision, while 'Honour' is a 34-year-old Laphroaig from 1991, expressing warmth and sentiment. Each bottle's design mirrors its character, with fluted precision for Justice and textured depth for Honour. The whiskies are presented in hand-blown Dartington Crystal decanters within a bespoke jesmonite cabinet.
Lizzy Rudd, Chair of Berry Bros. & Rudd, commented: 'The Duel is our way of bottling that intrigue.' The collection is exclusively available at www.bbr.com.
Berry Bros. & Rudd's 'The Duel' offers a unique opportunity for whisky enthusiasts to own a piece of history. With only 50 sets available, this rare and poetic double release of single malts is a testament to the company's commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
