Bernet and Swaify triumph in epic Bern Squash Open finals

The Bern Squash Open concluded with thrilling matches and a packed audience. David Bernet retained his title, while Jana Swaify secured her first major win. The tournament, hosted by Kehrsatz's Squashfarm, drew players from over 20 nations.

In the men's final, David Bernet faced top seed Toufik Mekhalfi in a marathon match that lasted nearly 100 minutes. Bernet emerged victorious, winning 9-11, 16-14, 11-7, 6-11, 11-7. The intimate atmosphere at Kehrsatz's Squashfarm added to the intensity of the world-class competition.

The women's final was an all-Egyptian affair between Jana Swaify and Menna Walid. Swaify secured her first Bern Squash Open title and the biggest win of her PSA World Tour career, winning 2-11, 14-12, 4-11, 13-11, 11-7. This victory follows Nour El Sherbini's triumph at the Bern Squash Open 2025, which marked her greatest career success at this tournament.

The Bern Squash Open 2026 saw David Bernet and Jana Swaify claim titles after intense matches. The tournament's success, with players from over 20 nations and sold-out stands, cements its place as a major event on the squash calendar.
