Pepper Sport Wins 'Great Star of Sports' in Silver - Berlin’s Pfeffersport Wins Silver for Cross-Border Youth Sports Initiative

Pfeffersport e.V. has been recognised for its outstanding efforts in promoting sportsmanship and international cooperation. The organisation, previously a winner of the €10,000 top prize in 2019, has now been awarded the 'Great Star of Sports' in silver for its 'Fair Friends 2023/2024' project.

The 'Fair Friends' project, which received a €4,000 prize from Berliner Volksbank and the Berlin State Sports Association, is a cross-border initiative involving 600 children from Berlin, Szczecin, and Kołobrzeg. It aims to break down barriers between children from different cities through football matches, cultural activities, and fair-play workshops.

The award ceremony took place on Monday evenings in the Bärensaal of the Old Town Hall in Berlin, where Pfeffersport e.V. and the Berlin-based basketball club Alba Berlin were honoured together. Pfeffersport's commitment to fostering international understanding and sportsmanship has been commended, with the organisation now qualifying for the national final of the 'Great Star of Sports' in gold, to be awarded in January 2026.

Pfeffersport e.V.'s 'Fair Friends' project has been recognised with the 'Great Star of Sports' in silver, demonstrating the organisation's dedication to promoting sportsmanship and international cooperation. With a €4,000 prize and qualification for the national gold final, Pfeffersport continues to make a significant impact in the sports community.
