Berlin’s hidden riverboat dock unlocks access to famous landmarks

A popular riverboat dock sits on the Spree River, just 100 metres north of Berlin Cathedral. Located on Museum Island, it offers easy access to some of the city’s most famous landmarks. Visitors can reach the area by car, public transport, or even on foot from nearby attractions.

The dock itself does not have a formal postal address, but drivers can navigate to Bodestraße 3, 10178 Berlin. For those arriving by car, parking is limited, with the closest garage at CityQuartier DomAquarée—about a 400-metre walk away. Public transport options are also available, as the landing lies near major transit hubs.

The Berlin Cathedral riverboat dock serves as a useful starting point for sightseeing. Its proximity to major landmarks and transport links adds to its appeal. However, those arriving by car should plan ahead due to limited on-site parking.
