Farmers' Association Informs About Green Week - Berlin’s Green Week turns 90 with global agriculture in the spotlight

Berlin’s International Green Week begins this Friday, marking its 90th year. The event has grown into one of the world’s most important exhibitions for agriculture and food. First held in February 1926, it continues to attract global attention.

Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier will officially open the trade fair on Thursday evening. His presence highlights the event’s significance for both German and international agriculture.

On Wednesday at 11:00 AM, the German Farmers’ Association (DBV) and the Federation of German Food and Drink Industries (BVE) will present their latest sector assessments. These reports will offer insights into current trends and challenges facing the industry. The fair remains a key platform for producers, policymakers and visitors to exchange ideas. Over the years, it has expanded to cover innovations in farming, food production and sustainability.

This year’s Green Week will run for several days, featuring exhibitions, discussions and networking opportunities. The event provides a snapshot of the agricultural sector’s direction for the coming year. Organisers expect strong attendance from industry leaders and the public alike.
