In this picture there two girls were dancing. And some of the men are wearing the blue t-shirt and white paint and there are playing the drums. And those men are wearing hats on their heads. In the background there are some stores with the posters. And there is a pole. And all the men were wearing the shoes.

Sneakers with Ball Gowns: Berlin Celebrates First Hip-Hop Ball - Berlin’s First Hip-Hop Ball Redefines Tradition With Sneakers and Waltzes

Berlin hosted its first Hip-Hop Ball at the Red Town Hall, a unique fusion of tradition and urban culture. Tickets started at €150, with a dress code that blended elegance and street style.

The event, a debut in Berlin following successful editions in Vienna, aimed to merge the glamour of a traditional opera ball with hip-hop culture. Organizer Sajeh Tavassoli, who grew up in Vienna and was inspired by its ballroom tradition and love for hip-hop, brought this innovative concept to life.

The evening featured a modern twist on the Viennese waltz, alongside graffiti art, breakdancing, and DJ sets. Governing Mayor Kai Wegner (CDU) welcomed guests, while Editor-in-Chief Gregor Peter Schmitz of stern delivered a free newsletter every Wednesday, highlighting the event's significance.

The Hip-Hop Ball, with its floor-length evening gowns and suits paired with mandatory sneakers, offered a fresh take on the classic ballroom event. Tavassoli's vision successfully blended tradition and modernity, promising an exciting new addition to Berlin's cultural scene.
