Berlin's economy senator, Franziska Giffey, is set to visit Warsaw on October 12-13, 2025. The trip aims to strengthen economic ties between the two cities, with a focus on innovation and cybersecurity awareness. Giffey will be accompanied by representatives from various companies and associations.

Giffey's visit comes at a time when Poland has emerged as Berlin's largest trading partner, with a volume of 2.4 billion euros in the first half of 2025. Exports to Poland amounted to 734 million euros, while imports totaled 1.6 billion euros. During her stay, Giffey will promote Berlin as an investment destination and meet with Polish companies.

Warsaw, a leading European innovation hub with strong economic growth, presents potential for closer collaboration with Berlin on topics like AI, cybersecurity, and defense tech. Giffey will speak at the 'Building Bridges for Tomorrow' conference and the 'Deutsch-Polnische Wirtschaftskonferenz', organized by the German-Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Giffey's trip is part of an internationalization concept for Berlin's economy, aiming to strengthen global networking and access to key markets. By expanding cooperation with Warsaw, Berlin seeks to foster innovation and cybersecurity collaboration, building bridges for tomorrow's economic growth.
