A100 and A111 to be closed repeatedly until next week - Berlin's A100 and A111 Motorways to Close for Maintenance
Berlin's A100 and A111 motorways will undergo maintenance and repair work in the coming days, leading to several closures. The Berlin Traffic Information Center (VIZ Berlin) has announced these closures to ensure safety and efficiency during the works.
Starting from Tuesday night to Friday night, the A100 will be closed in both directions between the Heckerdamm (A111) / Jakob-Kaiser-Platz (A100) interchange and Hohenzollerndamm from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. This closure is to facilitate maintenance and repair work.
Over the weekend, the street at the height of the Innsbrucker Platz tunnel will be renovated, closing the city motorway in the direction of Treptow between the exit and on-ramp at Innsbrucker Platz from Friday at 8:00 PM to Monday at 5:00 AM.
Closures will also occur on the A111 in the Tegel Airport, Tegel town center, Forstamt Tegel, and Beyschlagsiedlung tunnels on specific nights between 9:00 PM and 5:00 AM. Some on-ramps may close as early as 8:00 PM due to organizational reasons, and detour routes will be signposted. Additionally, all on- and off-ramps in the direction of Wedding on the A100 will be closed between the Kurfuerstendamm and Spandauer Damm exits from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and follow the signposted detours. The VIZ Berlin provides real-time information on current closures. These closures are expected to improve the safety and condition of the motorways for future use.
