Berlinale Director Reveals Her Favorite Christmas Film - Berlinale Director Reveals Her Favorite Christmas Film
The Berlin International Film Festival has announced key details for its 2026 edition. Running from February 12 to 22, the event will take place across various cinemas in Berlin. Festival chief Tricia Tuttle also shared a personal favourite—her love for the holiday classic Home Alone.
The 2026 Berlinale will see Wim Wenders presiding as jury president. Alongside the competition, Michelle Yeoh will receive the Honorary Golden Bear for her contributions to cinema.
Tuttle recently revealed her fondness for *Home Alone*, calling it a film full of humour and warmth. She particularly admires Macaulay Culkin’s performance in the lead role. Her enthusiasm even extends to family traditions—Tuttle’s son once dressed as one of the bumbling burglars from the movie for Halloween.
The festival’s dates and honours are now set, with Wenders and Yeoh taking centre stage. Meanwhile, Tuttle’s affection for Home Alone adds a personal touch to the lead-up. Screenings and events will unfold in Berlin’s cinemas over the 11-day programme.
